Eleanor Lakin, BSc MArch
Creative Director / Founder
Eleanor is an artist, architect and designer with particular interest in scientific and philosophical concepts. Her work focuses on spatial design and the built-form as an interactive interface between people and place, consciousness and the wider environment.
Eleanor studied Architecture at the Bartlett School of Architecture on both the BSc and MArch RIBA programmes, completing with honours. She was awarded the Richard Rogers Bursary and was tutored by Professor Stephen Gage whereby her interest in responsive architectural design was further developed.
Eleanor has worked with many design studios including Jason Bruges Studio, Bompass & Parr, a Bureau of Extraordinary Affairs, Barker Langham, Reeves & Bond. She has led the delivery of groundbreaking, high profile, experiential and interactive spatial projects worldwide, winning a number of prestigious awards including the Red Dot Award, AHI Engaging People Award and the FX Award. She has tutored on BSc and MArch Architecture programmes at the Bartlett School of Architecture, Westminster University and Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design.
Eleanor continues her own art practice, based on research and analysis into a wide range of subjects, such as ancient archaeology, quantum physics and vedic literature, driving the vision and ethos of PANORAMA.
Anam Hasan, BA MArch
Associate
Anam Afroze Hasan is an mechatronics engineer and maker specialising in kinetic sculpture, interactive installations and mechanical design.
She studied Architecture at the University of Greenwich and completed a Master’s at the University of Westminster, graduating with distinction from both. She has worked with Jason Bruges Studio and Piercy & Company, and has freelanced for Microsoft, Wieden + Kennedy, UCL, Make It London, Grumpy Sailor, MET Studio, and Reeves & Bond. Her work spans concept design, animation, hardware and software design, mechanical design, fabrication detailing, model making, and onsite content creation for light installations and electro-mechanical models.
A sabbatical at The Character Workshop, The Animatronics Institute in Hollywood, Los Angeles, under Rick Lazzarini, further developed her expertise in animatronics and physical making. She has also taught and led workshops at Newcastle University, UCL, UCA Canterbury, and Die Angewandte in Vienna.
Her work has been published and exhibited at the RIBA, Architect’s Journal, Architectural Digest, Building Design, The Milk and Sugar Gallery, Arch21 Society, the Magma Film Festival, The Guardian, Wallpaper Magazine, MAKE Southwest Kinetic Exhibition, The Visual Merchandising and Display Show, The Supermodels Exhibition by Piercy & Co, and Dezeen.
